noise heat power

Well, here you are; you've arrived. But what is Noise Heat Power? And why?

In 1991, Noise Heat Power was a slogan on a shirt. It was a shirt made by me and a mate, and the slogan meant the music, the energy, the banging and the clanging of Sheffield. Uncelebrated, unloved, 'umble Sheffield.

Now Noise Heat Power is the name of this website. It's an archive of my writing and photographs - all kinds of stuff that I think of, and then write down. It's a load of things I like. And it's a load of things I remember. Not just about Sheffield, but about other things too. Things like concrete. And drizzle. And bus stops.

You may also think it's a load of PHWAARP! - and that's allowed, though not encouraged.

So don't die wondering.

My name is Damon Fairclough. This website is Noise Heat Power. And this, dear friends, is the fact and the fiction - so read on.
